Andrea Jaeger-Lenz has many years of experience in counselling, litigation and dispute resolution in the area of intellectual property law, in particular in trademark law and unfair competition law.
Her litigation experience has shaped her approach and awareness of brand protection, enforcement and management, with a clear focus on clients' needs for pragmatic and result-orientated strategies for legal challenges.
Andrea works closely with global in-house teams to refine and enhance the protection of their brands and develop a relevant approach to creating consistent practices around the enforcement of their brands. She provides commercial solutions that translate into practical agreements between disputing parties. Clients appreciate Andrea's precise analysis of the opportunities and risks in the initiation or defence of IP proceedings and in the precise assessment of the availability of trademarks, business or domain names.
Andrea's litigation practice ranges from complex opposition and cancellation proceedings at the DPMA and EUIPO to the German Federal Patent Court, the German Federal Court or General Court as well as court proceedings in Germany. Irrespective of this, she strives to recommend and seek efficient negotiated solutions to conflicts whenever possible and reasonable. Due to her work as a WIPO panelist, advising and representing clients in domain name disputes is one of her particular areas of specialisation.
